New elected board members with CEO and Deputy CEO
Some 120 youths coming from Mahe, Praslin and La Digue attended the SNYC Annual General Meeting held on the 4th May 2019 at the STC conference. The audience were mostly affiliated members of the council such as the secondary and post-secondary schools, district youth committees and none -governmental youth associations.
During the meeting delegates reviewed the Councils performance in 2018 whereby they highlighted their achievements and constrains.
The presentations were followed by various questions from the audience about the youth assembly and other programmes , flexibility in the youth work, clarification on courses for youth workers, financial resources for activities, among others.
The AGM also comprise of the election of the new SNYC board whereby Myrsia Sifflore was elected the new chairperson. Besides Ms Sifflore the other members elected on the board are: Roberto Leggae (Vice Chair), Ivan Vidot, Shamad Jafah, Henry woodcock, Farah loveday and Wahida Gobin as ordinary members.
